Tragedy struck at the late hours of Thursday, January 23rd, as the founder of Oko-Oloyun world-wide and De-Fayus International, Alhaja Fatai Yusuf better known as Oko Oloyun was shot dead by unknown gunmen along Igbo-Ora-Eruwa Road in Oyo State. It was reported that the deceased was traveling from Lagos to Oyo state to attend a function when he was assassinated along Igbo-Ora-Eruwa road Oyo State.
The ugly incident was confirmed by the Oyo State Police Command through its spokesperson, Mr. Gbenga Fadeyi. He told newsmen that the founder of the Oko Oloyun worldwide was killed along Igbo-Ora-Eruwa road while he was traveling to Iseyin ìn Oyo state.
According to reports, the traditional medicine expert was trailed from Lagos by his assailants until he got to the spot where he was gruesomely murdered with gun bullets.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that the state’s Commissioner for Police (CP) Shina Olukolu, has visited the crime scene upon hearing the news.
Furthermore, the PPRO said the Commissioner for Police has ordered that a high-powered manhunt is engaged to bring the unknown hoodlums to justice.
Prior investigation revealed that the deceased always use that road anytime he is traveling to Oyo State to escape the high prevalence of attacks on the major roads.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Fatai Yusuf (Oko Oloyun) was the president of Physiotherapists’ Association of Nigeria before his death.
