Nigerian-American music rapper Wale has shared an adorable picture of his little daughter named Oluwakemi. The ace Nigerian-American artist took to his Instagram to share the amazing picture of his beautiful daughter, he wrote: “Love”.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian descent rapper first rose to fame in 2006 after he dropped a single smash hit dubbed “Dig Dug (Shake It)”. Reasonably, the song became an anthem on the lips of everyone in his hometown.
In 2008, Wale signed a music deal with Interscope Records with a whopping sum of $1.3m and he dropped his debut album Attention Deficit under his new record label in 2009.
Interestingly, the ace America rapper never forgets his original, his two parents were Nigerians from the Yoruba ethnic group. Expectedly, he also gave his daughter a Yoruba name Oluwakemi. Not how many other Nigerians in the diaspora have forgotten their origin.
There are millions of Africans doing great in the western world, however, these Africans only share little tiers with their country of origin. In fact, some of them do not even identify themselves as Africans anymore, they have abolished every African name that can be used to trace their origin.
