There is a trending report that one
Abraham Amuta, a former member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who was kidnapped by Boko Haram reportedly refused to leave the den of his captors when a team came to secure his release.

Abraham Amuta was carrying out his one-year mandatory service in the epicentre of the terrorists, Borno State, North-East Nigeria when he was kidnapped alongside one Pastor Moses Oyeleke of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel).

They were kidnapped in Maiduguri, Borno State capital on April 10, 2019. Ever since then, some unnamed people have been negotiating with the terrorists to release them; all to no avail until in November 2019, when Pastor Oyeleke regained his freedom.

Still, the negotiation for the release of Abraham Amuta continued until the point where the terrorists agreed with the terms of the alleged negotiators. However, when the negotiators reportedly went to the Sambisa Forest on Sunday, February 2, 2020, to secure Amuta’s release, the young man allegedly turned down the offer saying that he has already abandoned his Christian faith and has embraced Islam.

Instablog reposted the story from ‘Daily Post’ and Nigerian comedian and popular comedy skits master Broda Shaggi decided to air his view on the report via the comment box.

Broda Shaggi wrote via the comment box that the former NYSC member has been informed that the allowance of corp members have been increased to just 33 thousand Naira and the Boko Haram terrorists have shown him the value of dollars.

According to BrodaSShaggi, the young man thought within himself that since work is not certain in the country and he has no talent, it was better to “resume office” with the Boko Haram terrorists.

Within one hour after he made the comment on the Instablog’s post, the comment has gotten over 90 reactions from people who agreed with the view of the comedian.
