Yesterday’s #CuppyGoldGala of Nigerian female Dick Jockey, Cuppy, was overshadowed by the N50 billion donation of her father, Femi Otedola to her foundation. Africa richest man, Aliko Dangote also donated N10 million to the foundation. However, no one is talking about her stage performance.
The 26 years old DJ spent the whole week sharing pictures of her rehearsals for the show on her Social Media pages. From all comments and reactions after the show, it is obvious that she really gave her best.
A video clip an iconic Nigerian journalist and CEO of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu shared via Twitter this morning is a testament to how great the show was.
In the video, Cuppy and the energetic Zlatan Ibile were seen performing ‘Gelato’, their raving collaboration.
As usual, Zlatan was everywhere on the stage. In fact, the stage was not big enough for him. He moved to the audience stands to do his thing. And of course, he didn’t forget to give the audience some ‘legwork’.
On the part of Cuppy, she maintained the stage where she ferociously gave a sound backup to Zlatan. She took her lines as energetic as possible while she strived to strike some harmony with the dancers on stage.
Nigeria vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomole, and Africa richest man, Aliko Dangote were in attendance to watch the eccentric performance.
