Emiliano Sala’s body found in crashed plane underwater

Cardiff City new signee went missing after he boarded a small plane from France to the United Kingdom. We reported that his Airplane went missing above water and he hasn’t be found since then until today. 

Emiliano Sala took a small chattered plane alone with a pilot. The airplane had takeoff problems but they went ahead with the flight plans after 4 failed takeoff attempts. 

The search team has been in and out for the deadly weather to try and find him for days, but they were unsuccessful. 

A cushion from his airplane washed above water few days ago; today, the body of Emiliano and that of Pilot David Ibbotson’s body were recovered from the airplane wreckage underwater.

“The remotely operated vehicle (ROV) carried out a further search of the area overnight, but did not identify any additional pieces of wreckage.

Tragically, in video footage from the ROV, one occupant is visible amidst the wreckage. The AAIB is now considering the next steps, in consultation with the families of the pilot and passenger, and the police. “
