Available information has indicated that Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo earns more from Instagram than he does from playing soccer.
The 34-year-old Portuguese reportedly earns $47.8 million annually from paid Instagram posts. This was revealed by a study by social media firm Hopper HQ on Buzz Bingo. It was gathered that his salary at Juventus is, however, is $34 million.
With this earning, Portugal’s captain reported income from Instagram makes him the highest earner from the platform, ahead of world footballer of the year, Lionel Messi and American celebrity, Kylie Jenner.
According to reports, Ronaldo makes an average of $975,000 per advertised post. His Instagram earnings thus far eclipsed the world’s biggest celebrities, including Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, and Emily Ratajkowski.

Clear Haircare, Nike Football, and Six Pad Europe are amongst the brands Ronaldo has represented on the social media platform. He is also the user with the highest follower with 186 million followers. As a result of this huge number, companies pay almost $1 million for posts to access the reach.
Being a celebrity, his earnings from the social media has broken away from typical influencer partnerships, as many of his promotional posts are usually part of wider sponsorship deals, such as Nike.
