Fire guts popular Apongbon market in Lagos destroys eight shops (Photos)

Another beautiful Sunday, the 16th February, was marred with fear and sadness as fire destroyed about eight shops in the popular Apongbon market in Lagos. It is barely a week after the popular Balogun market was razed with fire. Many people have not gotten over the pain and shock it caused, and again, another popular market hit by fire outbreak.

According to the reports, no fewer than eight shops have been razed down and goods in them completely destroyed by the ugly Inferno. Eyewitnesses disclosed that the fire started at the early hours of Sunday 16 February and up until around 11am the same day the fire has not been quenched.

Meanwhile, no one has been able to confirm to newsmen the cause of the fire at the time of filing this report.

It would be recalled that the Head Pastor and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye revealed that God told him that there will be more cases of fire incidents in the year 2020.

The cleric admonished Nigerians to look beyond religion or ethnic differences and pray for God to save the country from fire. He explained that he fears what will happen to Nigeria if those revelations that he saw should come to fulfillment.

Concurrently, it was not up to two weeks after the man of God revealed the vision that some section of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s house gut fire. Maybe Nigerians have not started praying yet, our prayers can save the Nation from pending doom.
