Nigerian musician, actor and politician Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W may return to the studio in 2020 if his tweet this morning is anything to go by.
A fan on Twitter urged him via a tweet to drop at least a song every year. The fan said he loves Banky as an actor, a politician, an activist but he should still give his fans some music.
In his reaction, Banky tweeted that he would drop at least one album in 2020. He, however, doubted if there were more people who feel the same way about his musical career.
Here are the tweets:
😩🤦🏽♂️❤Okay.. I'm gonna do at least one more album, in 2020. Not sure if there are too many ppl who feel the same as you do, but thanks for this. I appreciate it. https://t.co/rmZnhwWDpY— Banky Wellington (@BankyW) November 22, 2019
The “Mr Capable” crooner has been away from the music industry since August 2018 when he released his last single ‘Running After You’ featuring Nonso Amadi.
Since then, the boss of the defunct E.M.E. records has been very busy in the movies industry, activism and even politics.
If you can recall, he contested for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives to represent Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in March 2019 general election but lost the election.
He has been off and on in the Music Industry since he discontinued his record label and turned it to a talent management company in February 2018.
Anyway, we wait to see whether his tweet is not a political promise.
