The singer has been in the EFCC custody since his arrest few weeks ago. He is the person of interest in a couple of fraudulent activities. According to reports, EFCC officials were tipped off, they ambushed him, and he was detained after the arrest. After conduction some investigations, they found incriminating documents on his laptop. But Nairamarley denied owning the laptop.
He said the laptop belongs to his friend who lives in the United Kingdom. The father of 4 is expected to appear before the judge today to know his faith in terms of getting bailed out.
Nairamarley’s Lawyer Taiwo Oluwa Ore- Agba said his client pleaded not guilty, and he will present his case to Justice Nicholas I Oweibo. Justice Nicholas will decide if Nairamarley will be released on bond on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
If he is denied bail, he will remain in jail for the entire trial. The trial may take months or years in some cases.

According to the court’s requirements, One of the sureties must be on Grade Level 10 in the Federal or state employment. The other surety must have a landed property within the court’s jurisdiction. The judge directed EFCC to verify the bail terms.
The trial has been adjourned to 22, 23 and 24 of October 2019, for accelerated hearing.
