The list of marlians is drastically increasing as OAU students were seen dancing to Naira Marley’s “Soapy” while a lecturer was in class.
This incident occurred yesterday when the Public Address System in the lecture hall started playing one of Naira Marley’s hit song “Soapy”.
Instead of sitting quietly until the abnormalities are resolved, some of the students started dancing. While the lecturer stood with hands crossed watching his students dance.
See video below:
” Soapy” is a dance move by Naira Marley. It emulates attitudes of prisoners. Some celebrities such as “Kaffy” the dancer says the Soapy dance is immoral.
Nevertheless, Nigerians are in love with the Soapy dance moves, wherever they hear the music they can’t withhold the urge to dance.
Certainly, some OAU students are afraid of the result of their actions. Whereas others seem not to mind. Will the lecturer fail the students?

Ever since his arrest by the EFCC, Marley’s fan base is increasing. The likes of Davido, Wizkid, Zlatan, Toke Makinwa and many others are lovers of Naira Marley.
However, EFCC says Marley is an internet Fraudster which is the reason for his arrest. Marley, however, says he is not guilty of the charges against him, although the case is still pending in the court.
Immediately after his bail, he sang “Soapy” and releases the video of “Am I A Yahoo Boy”. His hit single “Issa Goal” was the official song for Super Eagles in 2018 World cup.
