Please!!! Dissolve my marriage or I kill my wife – Nigerian man begs Court

A 55-year-old Nigerian man identified as Chika Eze has begged the Customary Court of Appeal in Lagos State to dissolve his union before he kills his wife out of anger.

Eze told the Court that the love that once existed between him and his wife, Rachael, is dead, hence, in the best interest of duo it is better they go separate ways.

Mr. Eze while speaking in Court on Monday, February 10th revealed that the only way he could stop himself from committing suicide against his wife was for the Court to dissolve their marriage. He explained that the last two years of their marriage has been hell as he no longer enjoys love and comfort in his home anymore.

Quoting the words of Mr. Eze, he said:

“She is pushing me to the wall,” Eze told the court. “If I should retaliate, I will kill her. I don’t want to kill her, so that I will not be charged to court for murder. The best option is for the court to end our marriage so that we can go our separate ways. She always hits me with dangerous weapons which inflict wounds on me. Rachael fights and rains curses on me every day. She once deflated my car tyres and tore my clothes to pieces on several occasions.

While recounting some of the ugly fight experiences he had with his wife, Eze disclosed that she once attacked him with a standing mirror which inflicted a severe injury on his legs.

“The last time, she picked up a standing mirror and threw it at me. The mirror landed on me and caused severe injuries on my leg. I have several scars on my body as a result of her assault on me,’’ he told the court

He showed the pictures of the injuries to the Court as proof of his wife’s violent act against him. He stated that on several occasions will his wife leave the house without his consent and whenever he questions her when she returns she will tell him it is her body and she can do whatever she pleased with it.

Meanwhile, Rachael had denied all the allegations leveled against her by her husband. The judge adjourned the case for further hearing.
