Rape victim’s family released video of Razaq Oluwaseun Oke, 28, and Don-Chima George, 25

Razaq Oluwaseun Oke, 28, and Don-Chima George, 25 who drugged and raped their victim are still in police custody- Lagos state police command

A family member released a video footage of the accused rapists before they were handed over to the police. The victim’s brother was in the video interrogating the 2 suspects and one of his accomplices was seen slapping one of the accuser.

Razaq Oluwaseun Oke, 28, and Don-Chima George, 25 are being accused of drugging and raping a 23 years old girl.

According to the accuser, the two men took her to a club on Saturday February 2nd, 2019.  She claimed that they put drugs in her drink at the club and that they took her to a hotel to sexually abuse her.   

They took her to Dallankester Hotels in Lekki Phase after she passed out. One of the accusers Don-Chima Georges’ father owns the hotel where the incident occurred. 

They took turn to have sex with the 23 years old girl and they also recorded it on videotape while she was unconscious.

The victim called her brother to tell him what happened, the brother called Maroko police station to notify the police. And the CSP Isah Abdulmajid went to the scene to arrest the suspects. 

The police confiscated the suspects phone and found evidences of the sexual assault. They found videos of the two mean having sex with the lady and they believed that the information that they collected would help them to solve the case. 

Nigeria police realized update that the 2 rape suspects are still in jail.

The attention of the authorities of Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to the news making the rounds on the social media, that the son of the owner of Dellankester Hotels and Suites, Lekki Phase one, Lagos, one Don Chima George,25, and his friend, Razak Oluwaseun Oke, 28, who were accused of raping their female friend after drugging her, have been allowed to go scot free because the police collected bribe from their parents. 

The Command wouldn’t have wasted time debunking the spurious allegation but for the sake of the good people of Lagos State who have keyed into the Community policing agenda of the Force, being propagated by Lagos State Police Command, hereby states that the accused persons, one Don Chima George and his partner in crime, Oluwaseun Oke were arraigned in Family Court 3, Magistrate Court, Ogba, yesterday, Wednesday, February 6, 2019, for the offence of conspiracy and sexual assault by penetration to wit, rape; that after the charge was read to accused persons, the honourable court remanded them in prison custody pending legal advice from the  Directorate of Public Prosecution; that the case was adjourned till March 7, 2019; that the accused persons will be produced in court on March 7, 2019 and that the accused persons are currently  in Kirikiri prisons.

In summary, the duo, Don Chima George and Oluwaseun Rasak Oke, were lawfully arraigned in a court of competent jurisdiction and at no point were they granted bail by the police  nor the court. 

The Command therefore wishes to advise members of the public to be wary of fake and unsubstantiated news emanating from  Rumour Mills and enjoins the press to always cross check with relevant agencies before publishing. 

The police decide to make a press release after some people claimed that these guys have been released from jail without the case going to trail.
