Oscars

The 92nd edition of Oscars is now history. Those who won are celebrating while those who didn’t are probably licking their wounds. The fans are not also left out of the post-award reaction via social media.

Oscars was held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center® in Hollywood. It was televised live in more than 225 countries across the world.

In this year’s edition, there were no big surprises as those who most entertainment commentators believe would win came out victorious. For instance, most people predicted that it would be a big night for Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), and it was. He went home with the best actor award.

However, the talking point of this year’s Oscars is the record-breaking win of South Korea’s movie “Parasite”. The movie became the first non-English movie to win a major category at the Oscars. It won the prestigious best picture and three other categories. Another big winner of the night is Renée Zellweger who took home the best actress award for her lead role in “JUDY”.
