The king is back; Conor MacGregor returned to the Octagon bloodier than ever as he stunned followers of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) by beating Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in 45 seconds.

The former two-division champion has been out of the sport since 2016 but still kept a perfect shape to bust the nose of his opponent and then finish him off in a first-round TKO all in 45 seconds.

Before he finished off his challenger, McGregor started the bout like it was going to be an easy one for his opponent only for the tide to turn within seconds in his favour. He missed a left cross in the first few seconds and that was Cerrone’s best moment.

McGregor then used his shoulder to punch Cerrone’s nose before landing a deadly head kick which landed Cerrone on the floor. McGregor then finished him with a series of punches until the referee couldn’t take it anymore and then called it off.

“He wasn’t expecting that,” McGregor said of the kick. “I’m so happy. I’m very proud of that accomplishment. UFC can strip fighters and give other fighters make-believes belts but they can’t give out knockout victories across multiple weight divisions. Etch my name in history one more time”,

“Donald holds the record for the most head kick knockouts so I was very very happy to get one myself. Thank you all for the support”, he said after the fight.
