Nigerian Musician, Wizkid broke the bank for his manager, Sunday Are with a Richard Millie Watch worth about 80 thousand dollars as a birthday gift.
The Starboy sure knows that no matter how talented a person is, it is the hard work of the manager that will bring about the growth to the talent.
In a video shared on Instagram yesterday showing when Wizkid gave the watch to his manager, the love behind the gift was noticeable. The manager was all smiles as he displayed the gift as much as he could.
We could hear Wizkid voice in the background telling him that he deserved it; while his manager continuously showed appreciation for the gift by saying “thank you” countlessly and even bowing.
Anyway, it might interest you to know that Wizkid has been working with Sunday Are since 2015. This his manager is not a small fray in the industry. Before Wizkid, he has managed other big Nigerian Musicians like JMartins, Dbanj, Omawunmi, Bracket and Wande Coal.
Though Wizkid has introduced another manager, Jada Pollock to his team who also happens to be his girlfriend and a baby mama but the place of Sunday has always remained prominent.
Fake or not fake?
Meanwhile, in regards the expensive gift Wizkid gave to Sunday Are, some troublemakers have decided to raise some serious dust around it. They say the watch is fake.
In fact, according to reports, the watch is “super fake”. The troublemakers went as far as consulting an American expert known as Micheal Hermann to help them confirm the authenticity of the watch.
While confirming how fake the watch is, the expert said that the original version of the watch “don’t have that bezel case color at all. The skeleton movement is much smaller and the dial makers are longer”.
Here are his proves in pictures:
How the expert was able to confirm that a watch he saw via a video is fake to the extent of being “super fake” is what we are yet to understand. Anyway, we will soon know whether Wizkid has joined the “audio gang” or not as the drama unfolds.
