It could be recalled that the BBC documentary showed a senior lecturer, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu from the faculty of Arts in the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the head of a local Foursquare Gospel Church caught harassing a female student sexually, promising good grades in return.

Dr Boniface, a former sub-dean in the institution has been suspended by the management and his church from all ministerial duties.

He was caught on tape telling his victim to ”Switch off the light, lock the door and I’ll kiss you for one minute”

Also in Ghana, Dr Paul Kwame Butako from the College of Education and Prof. Ransford Gyampo, a political science lecturer were the other culprits discovered.

Female students had pointed out Butako in a series of interviews. He was caught on tape when an undercover journalist who posed as a final year student, interested in doing masters was then sent to him. From their first conversation, he had said he wanted to be the lady’s ‘side guy’.

With Dr Boniface suspended in Lagos, the fate of his colleagues are yet to be decided by their schools’ authorities.
